Neil Grigg, a Partner at Greene & Greene since 2002, is stepping back as a legal practitioner to pursue a new avenue within the property industry working alongside his wife, Katie, at the end of this month.
Neil’s has enjoyed a 21 year career at Greene & Greene, in which time he has become a well-respected lawyer, Partner and colleague. He qualified in 1998 and joined the firm in 2000, quickly progressing to Partner and then Head of the Commercial Property Team before passing the role over to Tim Mendes da Costa last year.
“After nearly 22 years at Greene & Greene, I have decided it is time to move on to something new, other than law, and look ahead to running our property portfolio. It has been a real pleasure to work here and I will miss the firm, which has been my “home” for so long, a great deal. I am very proud to have been part of such a great place to work, made better by such good people” says Neil.
The Commercial Property team is acclaimed in the Legal 500 UK 2022 as having “an excellent reputation in the regional commercial property market” and for having “A great depth of experience and a practical commercial approach.’’

As Neil prepares to step down as Partner, we are delighted to be welcoming Hugo Greer-Walker to the Partnership. He joined the firm in January 2020 and brought with him a wealth of experience with roles previously at Clifford Chance and as a Partner at Halliwells and Stone King. A highly experienced, commercial and practical lawyer, Hugo has a wide knowledge of commercial property matters. He is noted as ‘incisive and client-friendly’ in the Legal 500 (UK 2021).
