We are delighted to announce the addition of four legal professionals to the Greene & Greene team.
Jade Fung joins our Dispute Resolution team as a solicitor, specialising in commercial disputes. Jade is dual qualified, having worked as an associate in Hong Kong before relocating to the UK. Jade has developed a broad litigation practice encompassing company, insolvency, commercial, insurance and personal injury disputes.
We are also pleased to welcome Annabel Leach and Olga Kyriakoudi, who join us as trainees. Annabel and Olga have already demonstrated impressive potential, and we are excited to support their professional development as they begin their legal careers at Greene & Greene.
Finally, we are delighted to welcome back Mark Williams as a Partner in our Corporate team. Mark was previously with the firm from 2017 – 2020 before pursuing a new challenge in a non-practising commercial role. Mark kindly answered some questions about his return:
How has your time away from the firm influenced your perspective on client relationships and expectations?
Having experience away from private practice has allowed me to better understand the demands and needs of clients when they require legal support both in terms of the content and the delivery of the support. It is critical to understand what your client is trying to commercially achieve and to frame the advice appropriately. My time has reinforced my view that it is really important to focus on building relationships with clients to better understand their business, for example, understanding what’s important for them and that requires a good understanding of the relevant risks and opportunities that they are likely to encounter. It is also important to manage client expectations in all aspects of the relationship and that requires having a positive and communicative relationship with clients. Luckily for me I really enjoy building these relationships with these businesses.
Are there specific areas within corporate law or particular types of clients you are most passionate about working with, and what drives that interest?
I am most interested in working with technology businesses and am very excited about the significant number of new businesses that are being developed in light of the current significant technological advancements in software and hardware, although I am looking forward to working with clients in many other sectors too!
Since rejoining Greene & Greene, how do you think the firm has changed since you left and how did this influence your decision to return?
Greene & Greene provides even greater support to its staff in terms of embracing remote working and employee wellbeing whilst at the same time not losing sight of providing top tier advice and support to its clients. The firm remains a place with a considerable wide and deep amount of talent across the board and I look forward to working with my old and new colleagues.
Managing Partner, Simon Ratcliffe said ‘We are pleased to be growing our team and are committed to attracting and nurturing outstanding legal talent. The firm is dedicated to excellence and innovation in meeting the evolving needs of our clients – we look forward to the contributions Mark, Jade, Annabel, and Olga will bring to our team and the broader community.’
