The team from Greene & Greene have been busy fundraising, (as well as training hard!) before they take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge this Friday, the 6th September.
The team have come up with inventive ways to raise money for Cancer Research by hosting numerous events for both colleagues, family and friends and local businesses.
Here are some of the initiatives hosted by the team:
- Quiz Night: Held at the Greene King Brewery, this event brought together clients and local businesses for an evening of friendly competition. With rounds ranging from logo identification to Richard Osman’s Answer Smash, the quiz concluded on a thrilling note, with only three points separating the top two teams.
- Staff Car Wash: In a fun twist, team members swapped their law books for sponges, offering hand car washes to colleagues for £20 per vehicle. The event even included a bike wash, adding to the light-hearted spirit of the day.
- LotterHilly ‘Hills’: This unique lottery allowed participants to purchase ‘Hills’ for a chance to win prizes. The initiative was quick, inclusive, and extended beyond the office, with family and friends eagerly joining in.
- Euros Sweepstake: While England’s hopes in the tournament didn’t pan out, the team remained enthusiastic. In a surprising turn, Spain, the winners, generously donated their prize money to the charity. It was a testament to the camaraderie and goodwill surrounding the event.
- Raffle: The team successfully gathered over 20 prizes from local businesses for a raffle. This initiative showcased the power of community spirit and the impact of local generosity when combined with a motivated team.
Our team made up of Greg Jones, Ali Wade, Harriet Vaughan-Williams, Helen Proctor, Jonathan Hewett, Sally Whatley-Brown, Melanie Pilmer, Tim Mendes da Costa, Mark Whittaker, Andrew Cooper and Lee Richardson, are incredibly grateful to everyone for their generous support.
