Greene & Greene Solicitors is pleased to announce the successful completion of a significant rural property acquisition, comprising 2,724 acres of farmland, 12 residential dwellings, and 18 commercially let premises. The transaction, which began in early March 2025, was completed in just over two months, on 29 May 2025.
The deal was led by Jonathan Mathers, Partner in Residential Property & Agriculture, and James Southward, Chartered Legal Executive in Commercial Property. Their combined expertise ensured a seamless process for the client, navigating the complexities of both rural and commercial property law.
Jonathan and James worked closely with Michael Fiddes of Ceres Property and Jason Cantrill of Ceres Rural, our client’s rural land agents, to provide integrated legal and commercial advice throughout the acquisition.
Our client commented:
“Thank you for this; and more importantly thank you for your (Jonathan) and James’s kind assistance throughout the process; it was very pleasant working with you; we found your advice and guidance to be a perfect mix of legal precision and commercial good sense – thank you!”
James Southward added:
“This was an exciting and complex project mixing Jonathan’s skill in rural and residential property, and my own in rural and commercial property. It was great to successfully complete for the client and work closely with the professional team advising on the rural and farming intricacies to bring together the whole of the advice and guidance. We were thrilled to be involved.”
This acquisition underscores Greene & Greene’s continued commitment to delivering high-quality legal services across the agricultural and commercial property sectors.
