Fair Work Agency: A New Enforcement Era

Discover what the new Employment Rights Act means for employers.

March 26, 2026 | 10:00 am

Event Detail

Major changes to employment rights are coming — and the compliance stakes are about to intensify.

Launching on 7 April, the Fair Work Agency (FWA) will be a powerful state enforcement body with wide-ranging powers to police workplace rights. This marks a fundamental shift in how employment law will be enforced in practice.

The FWA will have significant new powers: it can proactively investigate employers, enforce holiday pay and statutory sick pay, bring employment tribunal claims on behalf of workers, and issue underpayment notices for breaches of NMW, holiday pay and SSP and it can also impose penalties— raising the financial and reputational risks for non compliance.

In this practical webinar, we will explain what the new regime means for employers and how organisations should be preparing now.

Date: Thursday 26 March 2026
Time: 10am – 10.45am
Location: Microsoft Teams

Who should attend?

HR professionals, in house legal teams, managers and business leaders responsible for compliance, workforce strategy or risk management.

What we’ll cover:

• A clear understanding of the FWA’s new powers and enforcement approach.
• Insight into how the reforms will reshape employers’ practices and working arrangements.
• Practical guidance to help organisations manage the changes effectively, minimise risk and ensure compliance.
