Event Detail
Our annual employment law conference is taking place on Thursday 3rd October 2024 at Bedford Lodge Hotel.
This year’s theme, The New Employment Landscape: Strategies for Success, will provide you with invaluable insights and practical strategies to help navigate the legislative changes we are likely to see under the new Labour government. In their manifesto, the party made it clear they are committed to reforming workers’ rights, proposing significant changes that aim to reshape the employment landscape.
Moreover, other issues such as advancements in remote working technologies, and increasing emphasis on diversity and inclusion, are changing how businesses operate and manage their workforce. The pandemic has accelerated the need for flexible working arrangements and has highlighted the importance of employee well-being, prompting a re-evaluation of existing policies and practices.
We will be joined by guest speakers Russell Beck from Imagine Think Do and Richard Stubbs, Barrister from Trinity Chambers. Russell is a thought leader, using research and insight to challenge preconceptions. He is an experienced speaker, utilising his broad experience from a diverse career including senior roles as an engineer managing large-scale international projects, leading a £120m talent management business and growing a successful consulting operation from scratch.
Richard Stubbs is a Barrister with over 18 years’ experience. Recognised as a leading barrister in the Legal 500 UK directory, he is known for his employment expertise and is regularly instructed for multi-day hearings in all areas of employment and discrimination law. He regularly acts for individuals, unions, NHS Trusts, local authorities and companies. He has vast experience in the Employment Appeal Tribunal and the Court of Appeal.
The conference, led by our team of experienced employment solicitors, will equip you with the knowledge and tools to navigate this period of transformation effectively, turning potential challenges into strategic advantages.
This event is free to attend and is suitable for all HR professionals as well as business owners, directors and managers who are responsible for people management and firm culture.
