Foundation Fund

Greene & Greene announced the launched the Greene & Greene Foundation Fund, a charitable initiative created in partnership with Suffolk Community Foundation in December 2024. This fund is designed to support charities, voluntary organisations, and community groups making a difference in West Suffolk.

Founded in Bury St Edmunds in 1893, Greene & Greene has always maintained a strong connection to the local community. The creation of the Foundation Fund reflects our continued commitment to giving back and supporting those in need. The initiative was developed in consultation with our Charity, Social, Environmental and Wellbeing (CSEW) Committee, which includes representatives from across the firm. The committee will play a key role in working with Suffolk Community Foundation to identify and select the causes we support.

The Foundation Fund has been established with an initial donation from our Partners, who have also pledged to contribute annually. The fund will operate as an endowment, generating investment income to support future grant-making. Our goal is to begin awarding grants in late 2027, with additional funds raised through regular internal and external fundraising activities.

This long-term approach ensures that the Foundation Fund will continue to grow and support local causes for years to come.

Suffolk Community Foundation

Suffolk Community Foundation is a trusted local grant-maker that connects donors with charities and community organisations across the county. Their expertise ensures that funds are directed to groups that are tackling real issues and improving lives — from registered charities to smaller grassroots organisations.

With over 4,000 registered charities in Suffolk, and many more voluntary groups doing vital work, this partnership will help us make a meaningful impact in our region.

The future

As the Foundation Fund grows, we look forward to involving our colleagues and clients in its development — from participating in fundraising events to helping choose the causes we support. This is a collective effort to build a stronger, more resilient community in West Suffolk.
