Our programme is designed to provide aspiring lawyers with practical insights into the legal profession, helping them develop essential skills and gain valuable exposure to various legal practices.
Our work experience programme
Our programme is tailored for students who are considering a career in law. We offer placements that allow participants to:
- Shadow experienced lawyers: Gain first hand experience by working alongside our team of solicitors across different departments.
- Attend client meetings: Where appropriate, observe the legal process in action and understand client interactions.
- Engage in legal research and drafting: Develop research skills and assist in drafting legal documents.
- Gain an understanding of business services: Spend time with our support teams to understand how a law firm operates on a daily basis.
Eligibility criteria
We welcome applications from enthusiastic students who meet the following criteria:
- Academic standing: Our programme is open to those who are currently studying a degree level qualification or are a graduate.
- Interest in law: Candidates will need to demonstrate an interest in pursuing a legal career.
- Commitment to diversity: We are committed to improving access to the legal profession and encourage applications from diverse backgrounds.
Duration and structure
Our work experience placements typically last for four days, during which participants will rotate through various departments to gain a broad understanding of our practice areas. The programme runs for a week in June/July each year. Applications are open from January for that summer.
