Our Community

At Greene & Greene, we believe that being part of a community means actively contributing to its wellbeing. We’re proud to support the area where we live and work—not just through legal advice, but by using our time, skills and resources to make a meaningful difference locally.

Our Charity, Social, Environmental and Wellbeing (CSEW) Committee, established in 2023, plays a central role in this commitment. Made up of volunteers from across the firm, the committee drives firm-wide initiatives through four dedicated subgroups: Charity, Social, Environmental and Wellbeing. These teams lead a wide range of activities—from fundraising events and awareness campaigns to volunteering opportunities and internal programmes that support our people, our clients and our wider community.

Our staff regularly give their time and expertise to local organisations, serving as school governors, charity trustees and volunteer directors. We also champion individual fundraising efforts and encourage participation in community projects. Recent examples include members of the firm using their dedicated CSR day to take part in the Public Sector Challenge, hiking up to 26 miles to raise money and others volunteering at Gatehouse, wrapping Christmas hampers for families in need across the region.

In December 2024, we launched the Greene & Greene Foundation Fund, designed to provide long-term financial support to charities and voluntary groups across West Suffolk. Find out more about the fund here: Foundation Fund – Greene & Greene

We take pride in our responsible approach—whether advising clients or engaging with the community. With the continued support of the CSEW Committee, we remain focused on causes that matter, helping to build a stronger, more inclusive and resilient local community.

Award nomination

We’re incredibly proud to be one of only three firms nationally shortlisted in the Responsible Business: Outstanding Firm – DEI category at the Chambers UK Awards 2025 (Winter Edition). This recognition centres on the work of our CSEW Committee, which has delivered a wide range of impactful initiatives since its inception. These efforts reflect our deep commitment to responsible business practices, meaningful community engagement, and the wellbeing of our people.

Being recognised at a national level is a moment of real pride for the firm — highlighting the strength of our team and the positive impact this work continues to have across Greene & Greene and within our local community. The awards will be announced in November.
